In the heart of Historic Downtown Canby is a new gathering place – one that celebrates the community’s history and creates the setting for its next chapter.  

The Block, a redevelopment effort led by Hanlon Development in collaboration with the City of Canby, includes: 

  • The Dahlia, a new four-story building that offers 69 high-quality apartments and two modern retail spaces with floor-to ceiling windows

  • Canby’s Historic City Hall, featuring over 3,000 SF of space ready for a restaurant, coffee shop, or tasting room

  • The Old Police Station, a timeless building with exposed red brick, old-growth wooden beams, and large storefront windows that stands ready for a full remodel into a restaurant, brew pub, or retail location

  • The Canby Utility Building a well-designed featuring street-facing floor-to-ceiling windows, is ready to accommodate a wide variety of uses, including professional office, medical/dental, fitness center and early childhood education

  • The Garden, a central courtyard designed for the entire Canby Community to gather with friends and neighbors

Designed by Portland-based SERA Architects, each retail space in the Canby Civic Block is positioned to draw foot traffic and build upon the strengths of Canby’s vibrant town center. 

With The Dahlia complete and the construction of The Garden underway, The Block is already contributing to Canby’s reputation as a welcoming and vibrant place to live, work and raise a family.
